I AM HAVING A LITTLE PROBLEM, IF I PUT MY BIKE IN NEUTRAL IT IS HARD TO PUSH. I TOOK OFF THE CHAIN AND I CAN'T TURN THE COUNTER SPROCKET WITH ONE HAND, I ALSO REMOVED THE BELT FROM THE OTHER SIDE OF THE ENGINE AND THE SPROCKET IS STILL HARD TO TURN, IS THIS NORMAL OR WHAT? BY THE WAY I HAVE A 400L ENGINE. THANKS PLEASE REPLY. MY BIKE IS 97 400 SPORT THAT HAS BEEN SLIGHTLY MODIFIED.

clemi,
Ok.. first things.... Are we sure the bike is neutral since you took the chain off? When is the last time that the transmission oil was changed? There is some "drag" caused by the transmission that is normal... How is the bearing/bushing on the output shaft? greased it lately? Has the machine been greased lately? Check the tire inflation pressure and equalize... Hows the front end alignment? Since you have the clutch cover off, the driven pully DOES turn freely? Check your brakes and make sure you don't have them adjusted to tight...
You said you couldn't roll it easily, then you said you took the chain off and the sprocket was hard to turn, Did you try to push the quad now that the chain is off?
Check these things and rule these out first....
