Are there any penalties to the EBS on a 400 Scrambler? Lower top speed? slower acceleration? increased heat? shorter belt life? etc?

From what I hear the biggest penalty for the EBS on a 400 scrambler is that it doesn't really work very well. EBS works best on 4 stroke engines with low range because they offer more engine braking, if the Scrambler had a low range tranny it would have a much better engine braking with EBS installed. I have also heard that you can't upgrade certain things in your clutching in the future if you have the EBS installed. I have a new '99 Scrambler 400 and I love it.
