Muddy, can we not act like school children. Mudd700T is proud to own a machine from a manufacture that, in his opinion(and alot of us in here), has made AND continues to make GOOD machines. I dont mind hearing about your experiences with Polaris, but dont belittle us who do own them. Some people feel like when you "put down" something that they own, you are calling them foolish for owning that particular machine.

<< Im working at a Honda dealership[sales] and except for the reliability thing,im NOT all that excited about the new 650 Rincon either. >>

Why do you think its reliable when its not even out yet!!!!

Honda has its fair share of problems.....and they seem to have more and more as they add options that the other manufacturers offered 3-4 years ago.

Mudd700t,
great job, congrats on your new sportsman!
what color did you get?
i've been thinking about a red 700 for sometime.
i've owned polaris atv's since '95. in fact, that first polaris is still in the family being used daily on the farm in Vt.
i've had good luck with all my polaris atv's over the last 7 years- and i plan to buy another one someday.
competition is fierce these days. i think every mfg knows that if they start building junk, they will go out of business because brand loyalty ain't around anymore.
hell! if polaris sold me a quad and i had a ton of problems....i'd be off to another mfg fast!
Enjoy Your 700!
Nice Machine!

OKIEDUDE,
No where in any of these posts did I belittle anyone for owning a Polaris, nor did I make an attempt to make them feel foolish for owning one.I did however, explain MY dislike with MY two Polaris ATVs.I also stated to the original poster that I wished him nothing but the very best from his new Polaris.Perhaps[belittle and foolish]is YOUR perception of how YOU took my posts?Sorry if I made you feel like that,I did not intend to.

Shaggy,
Nobody has a better ruputation for reliability than Honda, and thats no secret to the ATV industry either. When I made mention of ''except for the reliability thing''I was not refering to the Rincon,I was refering to HONDA products in general.

Of all the manufactures out there,Honda has the least amount of problems with their products. We sell Honda ONLY at the dealership that I work at and the Honda mechanic only has enough work to keep him employed on Mondays and Thursdays.I have been working at sales at this dealership and most all his work is maintenance like oil changes, valve adjustments ect.I think TWO ATVs have been back for warrenty work in these two months.Could the same be said for ANY Polaris dealership?

Bill

McMguire,

Remember, I also told you that if you had the stock tires on your quad you would have beaten me worse. I weighed my stock Rawhides and the total weight is 132 pounds. The (stock tracker P's) weigh about 114 pounds. So we are both pulling more tire weight(I'd say we are even). Do me a favor and weigh your tires.

After the SCRUB run when both our machines are broken in we'll run them again. I'll have another 30 pounds added to my machine because of winch weight.

Looking forward to the 13th.

MacGuire,

The SCRUB run is in Faithorn, MI. Saturday the 13th of April. Mac the Red Rhino is also going to be there. You guys could ride together. Send me an email if you want more information.

There should be about 50 quads this year.

Hey guys! In 1998 I bought my first Polaris. It was the Sportsman 500 EBS. I never had a problem with my machine. It took my places other 4x4s never could go and back! Bashing other machines is a kids game. I see no reason for it. what strikes me funny is the people who make fun of Polaris are the ones who:

1) Never seen one in person
2) Never rode one

Lets get one thing clear...ALL machines break! If you take care of them, they will last you a hell of a long time. If you beat the crap out of them, they will fall apart. My post on the forum bothers a lot of people for one reason and one reason only....it's the TRUTH!!!

Keep Riding!
LONG LIVE THE KING!
