Mudd700T,
states,
what strikes me as funny is the people who make fun of Polaris are the ones who,

1.Never seen one in person.
2.Never rode one.

I have seen and rode about 95% of every Polaris ATV model they have ever made.

Do I also strike you as ''funny''?Or maybe I dont count?

Bill

All the sportsman 500's i've seem to be very reliable without any major faults. They haven't held the 500 4 by 4 for 5 years for nothing. I will still say nothing beats a honda for toughness though.

What you need to realize is just because you have had a poor experience with Polaris doesn't mean everyone has had problems. Most people can except the fact that any atv can have problems.

FWIW
I have yet to have any major problems with my SP500HO other than adding two .99 cent shims to the secondary clutch to fix a little creeping at idle.

How many problems have people replied with their 700 braking. We'll make a little bet that when the rincon comes out it won't have half the problems the 700 does. The other thing is what does that many cc's mean? Nothing I would pick a 500ho any day then a 700. The 700 may still be a good machine thats just cause i dont believe any atv is really a bad machine.

Just because I work at a Honda dealership as a salesman means nothing in referance to brand loyality.I have been in SEVERAL arguements with my boss and my Honda service Rep about Honda's lack of a front diff locker and DISK brakes on their 4x4s.They both claim its NOT needed,I say Honda's missing a part of the ATV marketshare because they DONT offer it?Dont feed me any BS,I aint bitting!I been involved with 3 and 4 wheelers since 1983,thats a long time to try and BS me.I dont EVER sway a customer away from another brand ATV,I will however tell them of my experiences and also the differances between a Honda ATV and the competetions, that IS my job.I will also be very clear to let my customers know that Honda's do not have all the added features that the competition does, nor does Honda have the same level of problems from their ATVs as alot of the other ATV manufactures. Its their call from there.Truth is,allmost EVERY customer that comes into my Honda only dealership allready knows that they want a Honda.

The ONLY reason I accepted this job as a salesman [2 months ago]was to enhance my ATV safety class enrollment, and im happy to say that EVERY wk end class for the month of APRIL is FULL of students,so my plan worked. As some of you know,I teach the ATV safety class.

I am NOT loyal to a particular brand, however,I am loyal to ME!If I like it,its real simple,I buy it,regardless of brand.I have probably rode more ATVs than most anyone in these Forums.I visit 12 differant dealerships EVERY month, they sell all brands.I also visit the mechanics in the back. Its no secret,Polaris has the absolute highest level of customer comebacks,by a WIDE margin.

I say this,if you are happy with your purchase,so be it,but dont knock me[an OWNER of 2 Polaris ATVs]for telling MY side of the TRUTH[Mudd 700T].

I dont care what you ride, only that you ride!

Bill
