KNOWSALOT,
sure is nice to hear from someone like yourself that has been involved in ATVs for a very long time to.I appreciate your input.Brand loyalty can be very confusing for some first time buyers and those that have not been around ATVs for awhile.
Thanks again,
Bill

Bill, you and Sir Knowsalot, in MY OPINION and based on an interpretive review of your previous posts in this thread (there, I think I have enough of a disclaimer), seem to feel as though anyone with less years riding experience or don't work in a dealership other than a Polaris shop, are not to be allowed credence when offering a legitimate opinion. Seems anytime someone wishes to say that they are tired of hearing your woes in connection to your ATV's it inevitably ends up with you and a hand full of others giving a good verbal beating to the eyes with the 'OH, we can't listen to you because you JUST don't have enough experience' mantra!
You know what Bill, BS(interpret as you wish), you make it sound as though your trying to pull rank on us here simply because you have some notion that you have more time associated with ATV's and somehow this qualifies you as the master. I see that your an ATV safety instructor, well, so am I. I've had (concedingly) less time in the saddle on an ATV than you.but using the analogy above does that automatically mean that your a more qualified instructor than I as well? I doubt it. To suggest that a relative newcomer or someone of (self-qualified) less experience than you, offering an opinion one way or the other is somehow delegitimized based on time in the saddle is BUNK and smacks of elitism. Frankly I think we have enough elitists living and working in Washington. And speaking only for myself, I don't feel we need that attitude here.
Your problems with your "POS polaris" are yours. And I do not doubt the authenticity. But, Bill I can give as well, examples of problems with other makes that people I know of where I live and ride (and who would verify) that have a near equal dislike for same(other makes)and whom are in awe of the misconception that my Polaris' are supposed to be somehow even more problematic(but miraculously are not). So, how do you deal with that? I could gloat, but I don't, I ignore and enjoy riding, every chance I get!! But for you and Sir Knowsalot to suggest this notion that Polaris is just the most horrible when it comes to reliability is absolute trash talk! And yes, it is bashing. Quit beating around the bush you guys and stand behind your true feelings.
I think after all that I've said here, what I will summarize with is.....what are you waiting for, get rid of those ATV's and get something you WILL be happy with! Or has it not yet been created?

<< I been involved with 3 and 4 wheelers since 1983,that's a long time to try and BS me.
Bill >>
Jerry
I find that comment quite funny and I have seen it used several times by bill.
My first atv was a brand new 1979(1980?) Honda 110 atc given to me by my parents.....my Polaris my be the first atv "I" have bought new but I have also owned honda, yamaha, bultaco, and kawasaki bikes. I have grown up around all makes of atv's, atc's, snowmobiles and bikes and know all to well that anything can brake down. If you take away honda's "perceived" reliability and they are way behind in most categories.

Why is it that in the Polaris forum you always get jerks who will not let the subject stay on what the thread is about like this thread LONG LIVE THE KING OF THE 4x4s!!. I have been reading this forum for 1 year now and it seems that only in the Polaris forum you get so many jerks who have to come in and bash Polaris for them I say get a life if you can't say anything productive then don't say it I am sure me and 90% of the other people who read this forum are sick of it. I have found my self going to other forums to get information because this one is full of bashing and putting down Polaris.
I would give you guys the links to other better forums but I am afraid if I do the jerks will follow and ruin those forums too. I also read the Yamaha and Honda forum because those brands also interest me and I never see the bashing Crap in those forum as I do in the Polaris those forums stick to the subject most of the time like I wish the Polaris forum would.

Good God look at the reply's were not bashing on polaris at all. One of them is trying to say their peace about how bad polaris atv's treated him and the other is trying to set things straight.Just go out and ride and let this stupid post die.P.S Their are 4 4x4 kings right now.

Jerry, From your post it is obvious that you have other issues than what goes on in this forum.
You made a comment about guys involved with dealerships having an attitude that they know more than the average quad rider. Think about that one.
Seems the only trash talk going on in this topic are comments of your own.

Mr. knowsnotalot: Make assumptions as you will, and this is twice in this thread that YOU have made a false assumption, however I'll let my comments stand. You can read interpret them as you will!
As for the original intention of this thread: my opinion is that I feel Polaris stands a more that adequate chance to retain the crown of King with the 700! Read blind loyalty based on a lack of riding experience and not believing the mythological disreputable reliabilty issue as well, if you will.
p.s. You'd be dead wrong!!!!!!

Just have to pipe in with a BIG AMEN to Jerry!!!! Generally, with people I've worked with in my 37 years on this planet.....(not discounting anyone younger by any means) arrogant people, e.g. self labels of "knowsalot" generally are of the insecure nature. Having to toot their own horn. Hence, normally making my ears tune out their chest puffing antics. I've said it before, sit on 'em all, take 'em for a spin, choose the one you like. But most importantly join a club and make a positive voice be heard.
