My chain is coming loose everytime I get in mud or ride a rough trail. It's easy to retighten... but a pain. What can I do to keep it tight??

The chain also runs against the chain guard and the chain is shiny on one side...

what can I do to fix this ???

Thanks

I have a 00 trailboss too. I have the same problem. The left side of the chain hits the chain guard. It makes a cling noise too. But i think the clicking noise is from the chain guard. So i took it off and rode a little bit and i didnt here it anymore but im not sure.

Take a look at your rear wheel & make sure that both sprockets are lined up straight. My kids bike had a rear wheel alignment problem similiar to what you are mentioning.

well, i have a scrambler. i tightened my chain only once, as a matter of fact i have to do it today. you probably already know this, but you have to torque the bolts to a certain ft/lb when you tighten them back up.
