My magnum has 150 miles on it.Just this afternoon I was in a ditch, and my awd didnt work.I turned the quad off and on with key.Still no work. Now after I get home I realize my speedo doesnt register, and my reverse light comes on when the override button is pressed. When in high or low.Whats my problem. would like to fix myself.Thanx

Check the speed sensor on the right front tire (passenger side).

From what it sounds like you are going to have to replace your speedometer. yes you read that right, all of the electonics is run throgh your speedo it happened on my 99 500sp also lost my 4 wheel drive . If it under warrenty have them do it the speddo will cost you over a hundred bucks if you have to buy it. If you have acsses to a buddys try his and see if that helps

everyones reverse light comes on when they depress the overide button.

what makes you think your awd wasn't working? Remember it only turns itself on when the back tires lose traction. Are you just going by the light indicator? Sometimes if there is only a short burst of AWD needed the light doesn't stay on. so it may LOOK like it isn't working.

don't know about the speedo. the problems probably lie in the sensor in the front wheel or in your light pod wiring and circuts.

Talked to the dealer today. He said my problem is the speedometer. He says he's replaced a dozen or so on 99's.Now the thing works half the time,so I'll wait till it really pisses me off, before I take it in.Just dont think its right having to bring a new quad in already.I mean isn't that why we buy new!!! Thanks for the replys

Cowman Ive got that problem too but only a little diff. One of my front tires wont lock in in 4wd. It did but now it wont. My speedomitor is messing up too and after reading this post it knida makes me wonder. my speedo gets to about 30 and sticks at that but if I beat it or hit it hard it will keep rising to meet the actual speed. Do any of yall think this might have anything to do with the 4th wheel not locking in in 4wd? Cowman could you do me a big favor and call that dealership and ask them about my senero and what could be wrong with it. Id reaaaaaally appreciate it alot! my Sp 500 only has 500 miles on it and the speedo thing started when I first got it and the 3wd sone followed. Thanks alot man sean
