I went for a ride a couple of weekends ago on my and my wives sportsman 500's. Her's ran for a little while and then stalled, let sit a minute and would run for a few seconds. I went and got the truck and went home. When I got home i thought it was overheating so I cleaned the radiator and thought I was done. Went riding the next weekend and same thing. I took it all apart looking for wired shorting or something and thought to check oil again. That is where I found the tank over filled and am suspecting it is with gas as the oil is not milky. Do any of you guy know what will cause gas to get into the oil?

Thanks
Michael Blackledge

gas could be running through your carb and into the cylinder and leaking through the rings when not running. (needle and seat).

Don't let the hp numbers fool you. Its all in how you get it to the ground. Clutching clutching clutching!

Maybe the float is stuck or you need to open the petcock before you go.:-)
