making trail maps from GPS

I would like to make maps of ATV trails.Can you take the info gathered from a GPS and make a map out of it...and print it out from your computer,with way points and would it be to scale...

Yes you can. There are several programs which you can choose from. One of the most popular is a toppo map on CD Rom. You can do both with this program. You can ride a trail, and mark your way points while riding and then once you get back home you can download those waypoints onto your computer. This software will even allow you to take pictures and post them onto this software. Later you can go and click on that way point and it will bring up the pictures too.
You can also so the vise versa and upload waypoints onto your GPS. This way if you are riding in and unfamiliar place you can just follow your pre set way points on your GPS and you will find your way.
The cost of the software is like a $100. I fhave heard some other software packages some are even free. Just do a search on the forum for gps software and you should find other posts about it.
