The trail boss does 50.2 on a asphlat road. I got it to 52.6 on a new black top road.

The GPS wont and cant lie! Its a wonderful tool. Cutting across fields is only one : )

I had 97 TB,it was 2 stroke stock 47MPH/mine/.

GPS can and does lie it's built into it, you know the estimated error factor blah blah BS. It can cause several percent bounces in speed. Granted they seem seem reasonably steady about reading speed, but there's error built into it.
