I have significant driveline vibration with my Sp700. I feel it most in the 20 to 30 mph range. My dealer told me it was normal for the 700. The 700 was suppose to be so "silky" smooth. My Sp500 does not have near the vibration of the 700. I also have a problem with the front end shaking over 40 mph. The dealer adjusted the toe in and that helped a little, but it still shakes. They suggested that I have the tires rebalanced at a tire dealer. The shake was there from day one and I don't believe I lost any balance weights. The wheels seem true, but the side wall on the tire will move back and forth about .200". Is anyone else having similar problems with the Sp700? Thanks for your help.

I haven't noticed any driveline vibration on my 700. I have noticed a little bit of shake in the front end around 35 mph or so, but I am almost positive it is from the tire tread pattern and not mechanical in nature.

I haven't found any vibration in the front end and we do a lot of rock bashing, so with the dented rims and such it should be out of any balance or alignment. I found the tires very aggresive and make the bike wander. It's an unhappy machine on smooth surfaces, especially when you go over 70mph, which needed a downhill and some room. As soon as it's get rough it's smooth.

MY 700 HAD A VIBRATION AND WAS JURKY ON SLOW TAKE-OFF THROTTLE. WENT TO MY DEALER AND I PULLED OF THE CLUTCH COVER AND USING THE EBS ALLIGNMENT TOOL FOUND THE PULLEY ALLIGNMENT WAS WAY OUT OF ALLIGNMENT. REMOVED THE CHIM WASHERS FROM BEHIND SECOND CLUTCH AND RE-ALLIGNED THE MOTOR/FRONT PULLEY(ONE BOLT UNDER ON THE FRONT OF ENGINE,ON A SLOT FOR MOVING ENGINE RIGHT AND LEFT). AFTER PROPER PULLEY ALLIGNMENT, NO MORE VIBRATION. HOPE THIS HELPS.

i dont know if this is the same thing but we have a 500ho and a 700. for the most part the 500 rides better (well it did before the big tires and lift) because of the 2 ply tires. they sucked up a lot of the vibration and bumps. the stock (which are no more) tires on the 700 are 6 ply and thus a lot harder making you feel the vibrations. now the both have 28s on them so the both vibrate about the same.

Balance the tires, many 700's have needed to be rebalanced. Its something to do with the stiff side walls of the tires.

My tires are not even balanced at all and I have no vibes man. Something else is up and I bet it's in the clutch.
