Out riding yesterday with a friend. He has a 02 grizz 660 with modded pipe, carb and who knows what else. Came to a mile long staight away on a dirt road and the race was on. I have a 01 500HO stock except a K&N filter and it passed him by, I will say he did have some 589s on his machine but he also had a 160 cc's more than I did. Needless to say he was rather pissed when he ended up eating my dust and rocks when the road ended and turned to trail. It is very dry up here in Maine and being in front is somewhere you want to be this time of year.

Howdy,
I had the same experience last week end. The old 650 won 7 out of 8 times. Wish I could find a Polaris to try. Just not too many of them where I ride.

Weedy,
I park at Garys. It costs $10 per day. Go through Old Town Spring and cross the r.r. tracks and go left on the road that paralells the tracks. You will see a sign on the right. Turn in and park. Gary will be around to collect. Have a goodun!!!

Gary sold the place a couple of weeks ago. Now some guy named J.R. or J.W. owns it. Says he is going to put in showers and a well and then raise the price. It's still $10 for now.(at least it was last fri night). It's not that great of a place to park if the creek is up. We had to float our bikes across fri night but we made it.

How deep are you guys talking where you have to float the bikes across a river? And what state are you in?
