I,m lokking for the best price on a 2500 or 3000 winch. Has anyone had any experience with the winches?. Also , I would like to see some pictures of any custom made winch mounts for some ideas. Thanks

I don't know nothing about the Ramsey winches other than they should be reliable. As for the mount, my buddy & I custom made one for my bike using a piece of steel,(1/4"X4"X12&quot & some flat bar steel bend at the proper angles along with a piece of angle iron to make up the whole works.

Presently I don't have any pics to show but I'm sure you could fiqure it out. On my machine I tucked the winch between the rad & the bumber. Was a tight fit but turned out perfect, completely out of the way, nothing can smash into it.

I just bought a Ramsey 2500 with remote switch for the ’03 700 I’m now trying to decide whether or not to get. It came from Northern Tool and Equipment (northerntool.com) for $349.99, best price I could find. It’s still in the box and I may return it. All these horror stories about 700 unreliability have me sitting on the fence about upgradeing my ride. My ’01 HO with over 3000 miles on it has been a rock-solid machine for the most part, even with the lift kit and turning 27” tires all its life. Hard to beat that.

Excellent price. Thanks for the advice. I've owned both Polarises, the only problem was the leaking water pump cover, just put silicone gasket sealer on it.
