01 expedition 425 over heating

my 01 expedition 425 is over heating and the coolant bottle will bubble at times any suggestions

Check to make sure your radiator fins aren't clogged with mud. Spray it out nice and clean, then check it with a flash light to make sure it is clean.

Next, check to see if your fluid is the right level. When you open the pressure cap, it should be up to where the fluid goes into the over flow tube.

If everything else seems fine, I would guess that either your fan, or fan sensor is bad.

found out what my problem was.... defective head it has a small knotch in it and it caused the head gasket to blow and the coolant was pressurising the rad and coming out into the reservoir
