All I can say it depends what kind of racing you want to do? For any kind of racing a stock trailblazer just wont do it, because chances are if you get into any curcuit you'd be up against modified 250r's and other machines that would just blow a blazer away.

Dirt Wheels and ATV Sport are collectively a joke. ATV action hits the spot. Your gonna need something. I had a 2000 trailblazer and it really cant compete without a mod list an arm long. The least you could do is look into taking weight off. That will help noticably. As for a league, I have no clue, its hard enuff finding riding trails up here.

heres the website of the circut i race on Paul Koontz Motorsports Productions and it is not impossible to race a trailblazer, i run the 2 stroke b class and yes i am up against modified 250r's but its a harscramble circut and in the woods top speed doesnt matter. when i started the circut only thing i had was a pipe filter and a jet in my 2000 trail blazer. but on the circut i run there is also a womens class (which has only 1 racer on a regular basis) and there is also a motor cross series through the same promoter. and once again it is not an impossible dream to race against 250r's in the woods because top speed doesnt matter

well the idea basically came about because i had to cut my intake boot back to make the opening bigger in order to get enough air for a larger main jet. i had cut my boot back far enough when i hit a water hole the water would come up around the carb and soak my pre filter. so i had to block off open area between the gas tank and the airbox at the upper frame rails. so i cut up an old rubbermaid trash can and fastened it to the frame rails. after doing this i thought "hell it wouldnt be hard to set the stinkin thing up on forced air" so i molded another peice of the trashcan to run along the plastics where the seat lies from the top of the opening down and tightly around the intake boot. so all of the air that comes back under the plastics around the tank gets trapped and forced directly to my intake boot. at idle and just putting around i dont get much extra air if any, but when i get moving the airflow is majorly increased. with just my trashcan setup i was able to go up another 10 jetsizes, since the carb doesnt really need any air until up the throttle with a load on.
