sp400 vs. kodiak 400
#11
u are stupid if u say the chain drive belt slipping retard polaris is better than the mighty kodiak.I got stuck on my mojave in 2ft mud and some guy on a polaris 400 backed in and tryed to pull me out, didnt happen if anything i sunk worse so my uncle pulled up on his 2001 kodiak 400 special edition and pulled my kawi a$$ out of the mud with little wheel spin! I am telling you kodiaks are better my uncle may not ride much but when he dose he breaks stuff, this kodiak broke through the ice on lake superior and sat in the water 2-3 days before they got a tow person to pull it out,all they did was drain and dry everthing put new fluids in it and a spark plug, and new battery and it runs as good as the day it left 5 seasons sport shop in evelth MN.

ds650baja2001 hate to bust ur bubble, but the sportsmans arent chain driven, plus the kodiak will get water in there VBT way way way before a PVT on the sportsman will. stock vs stock, the sportsman will whipp, slap, and jump on the kodiak. sportsman comes with the GY rawhides, about 4 - 6 more inches of GC, better ride, rock hard reliability engine(the sportsman 400's engine was in the good old mag 425) and the sportsman wont overheat as quickly if the water pump fails, unlike the kodiak with all engine cover that thing will fry in a matter of minutes once it looses the liquid cooling. ohh dont forget about the sportsmans on demand tru 4wd, with both front tires locking when needed, its a lot better than that ancient limited slip front diff, that only gives you 3wd, and not even that, since the front tire being powered has no traction. so literly only the rear tires are moven the quad.

Well as I stated before, if you are running a "non"ebs 500 or 400 you can adjust the secondary clutch from a stock 2to2 setting to 1to1 setting and you will have your engine still connected up to your tranny going down hill.Just like ebs.All 4 tires. Not like the Yahmeees where one tire spinds in the front no mater what.
