I will say that i do preventative maintainance on 4 polaris's. Two sportman 400's and Two Scrammy's 1 400 and 1 500. I cant stand greasing the sportmans. There are 14 zerk's for the rear suspension, driveshaft, and a-arms alone. They do have a great ride. I am on the polaris bandwagon but if something catches my eye and gets my attention away from the predator that may change.

Me myself personnally would never ride a polaris quad even if I got the thing for free. Personal preference. On the other hand when it comes to snowmobiles there is no better. I have owned many and they rock. I only ride a quad to hold me over till the snow flies which is pretty soon. Dependability is good. They are a little behind on the tech side but when it does become there turn to catch up they come out with something big. DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY INFO ON THE NEW 2003 440 LIQUID COOLED SLED?

I believe a large portion of polaris sales can be credited to people's sense of nationalism. It's no secret that for many people one of the main criteria
used when purchasing something whether it's a car, atv, tools or whatever, is where the product is made or assembled.

BTW, Suzuki was the innovator who brought IRS and locking front differentials to the quad market. That was back in 1987. Anyone that says otherwise doesn't have their facts straight.

I have got an '01 scrambler 500 4x4 and it is junk. It has 250 hrs on it and so far I have already had to replace front wheel bearings-4 in each side, wheel seals-2 in each side, all the bushings and pins in the swingarm pivots, the chain, both sprockets, and all the brake pads.

I am into it for $1000.00 Canadian and it still needs new bearings for the steering shaft. Extremely poor quality!!!

The only good thing I have to say is that it is the only Halfass sport/utility cross with a 500CC engine and true 4 wheel drive.
