P.S. I grease the hell out of everything after every ride and do regular oil changes. I also don't ride it harder then anyone else I ride with so you tell me why anyone would ever wan't to buy a Polaris POS

Another thing i wondered about. Around me whenever they have atv raffles and such they are always polaris quads. why is that, they are not cheaper, why is it? I thought it was because they are "made in the USA". or at least assembled here.

Well speak for yourself creepster. If I'm gonna drive a streetbike it'll be a Suzuki or Honda. I personally wouldn't want a Harley. There again I do believe the reason you see Polaris (and Harleys) in raffles has much to do with nationalism.

Hey, you're entitled to your opinion. The kids what hondas and suzuki's and usually don't enter raffles. Plus, a harleys resale is so far superior to any rice rocket it makes it a more appealing prize.

RESALE = about of dollars you lose. You lose FAR more with a rice rocket , which i also own. I paind 18k for my harley and the book on it is 22K. Hmmmm, seems like good resale to me..LOL I paid 8k for my Ninja and it's now worth 1500.. SO, the cost has no idea in resale DEPRECIATION.

I ain't gonna argue with your numbers although I don't think even most Jap bikes depreciate that much. I've heard this arguement so many times and what nobody seems to mention is that your making payments on 18 grand or more vs 8 or 12 grand, for a bike that's not as good no less. Now you figure out your interest on both bikes full contract and tell me which one is the better deal ? HMMMM ?

I paid for my Harley Cash. SO, that means I MADE 4 grand and enjoy riding in it.

Depreciation is notoriously bad for jap bikes. Ask me I've owned 10 of them and they are all pretty much worthless after a few years. My Harley and My cobra (not mustang, Shelby) are the only things that held their value. Darn and they are both american made. LOL

Which bike is better is a relative point. My harley is better because it made me a profit. My ninja is better because it's faster. My harley is better because it's prettier. My ninja is better because it's fast. Which is better is based on who's eyes you're looking through.

I'm glad you're happy with your purchase. You've made 4 grand if you can sell it for 22 k. Around here the paper is loaded with high dollar Harleys that don't seem to be moving to well.
I'm comparing cruisers to cruisers, not crotch rockets, and from what Ive seen the Harleys don't run as strong and spend more time in the shop and cost a lot more. Course I guess that only matters if you're going to hang on to them and not sell them and get a new one every year.
