Xplorer 400 , what clutch spring?

Im kinda late getting in on this one but thought Id throw my 2 cents in anyway.
Ive tried both the green and white and what Farmr123 told you is exactly right.
I went with the green first but it was too aggressive for my style of ridding. I like crawling over rock, logs, obstacles and stuff like that. With the green spring you really have to rev the motor before it engages enough to pull you out of a tight bind like that and that has to be murder on the belt.
I have the white one in now and for me..its perfect! You still get better acelleration from a stop but it also allows you to do the slow stuff I like to do without the extra strain on the belt and motor.
In a nutshell...
If you like to nail the gas and run like hell then you want the green one.
If you want a good all around spring that improves performance in all catagorys then you want the white one.

Xplorer 400 , what clutch spring?
Well, I recieved the correct "white Polaris spring" from bubba the other day. Yesterday I installed it. Here's what I noticed right off. Initial takeoff pull has increased tremendously. In low, I can wheelie it with no problem, and in high the front comes up just slightly. Pretty good for a utilitly beast! It hasn't changed the engagement rpm drastically enough to affect anything I do in the desert. I will still be able to hit the most technical trails without looping the bike. As far as top end is concerned, I couldn't really test that because I don't have a speedo. Next time out I'll bring a GPS and see what it's doing at top end. I didn't think of it at the time... Thanks again guys for the help! Bubba did you get your EPI spring yet?
