Ok please bare with me on this one, I really need help, and if you could please just give me alittle of your time to do so.
I have a 2000 500 Scrambler, and just last week my girlfriends brother wrecked it. I needed to get a new shock housing, now the thing is I have the shock housing but I am not sure how it all fits together.
If you remove the bearing and the spindle from the housing it has something like three rings, 4 bearing rollers, a clucth basket, and so forth. How does all of this fit together until you finally reach where you can screw the nut on and put the cotter pin in? Please help.
If you would happen to know where pictures of this are or someone I can call to get this information it would be greatly appreciated. ANY HELP AT ALL IS BETTER THAN WHERE I AM AT RIGHT NOW> Thank you so much for your time and I look forward to the results. Thanks

Chuck (Waiting and hoping)

On the drive shaft do you put a roller bearing cone on taper towards top, then a ring, then the other tapered bearing roller (small end facing bottom, and then place that into the shock housing? STILL IN DESPERATE NEED. The polaris site shows from the shock housing out but not the inside or how it fits on the drive shaft. Thanks for your help so far anything else would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Last resort you can carefully take the other side apart to see how it goes together.
