Why would you ever concider removing that screen?It has saved my radiator from repair probably a hundred or more times.It stops twigs,branches,and other things that would otherwise go into the radiator.Better think twice before removing it.===BILL

My AWD light stays on when the AWD switch is in the on position, whether or not the front wheels are engaged. I would assume that is the way it is was designed to work.

I also would not remove the screen, you need all the protection you can get for the radiator.

Nope the AWD light is located on the AWD switch. If the switch is in the off position, the light is under the switch. It is exposed only when the switch is in the on position.

As far as the rightmost light on the pod, mine is blank too. I have 2 2000 SP500s and it's blank on both.

“If (when) the switch is in the off position, the light is under the switch,” how do you know the light turns off when the switch is off?? (hehehe) Sorry, just a little refrigerator humor ;}
