330 magnum - Trailboss
I do not know speeds for 330,but my wife has 01 325 Magnum 47MPH, she had 00 325 Trailboss 45 MPH at its best. The Trailboss 325 2x4 was heavy and underpowered quad. Both are/were/ 4 stroke.
I've had 99 SP500 max speed 57 MPH...... and 97 Trailboss 250 2 stroke 50 MPH.
I'd assume the speed for 330 around 45 - 50 MPH. No more than that.

iszdan,
I don't think anyone here has disputed every single thing that Dirt Wheels has published. There ARE, however, many disputable "facts" in Dirt Wheels. After seat time on the TB, I most certainly would say that 13hp is very accurate. I think people can sort through the BS on their own. But, when they are right.......

colt77,
so you are saying your wifes top speed on the '00 trailboss was 45? isn't that similar to the 48mph? a magmum is 83 lbs heavier then a trailboss (look at the polaris website) and has a shaft drive. We all know that seems to rob it of some horsepower. I guess what I want to know is why the magnum is faster then the trailboss? Same motor and same carb. the only differences I see is tire size, dry weight, and shaft vs. chain. I hope mine was set up really good for my altitude because it does do the speed I said it does.

iszdan hey yours may run mint and 48 may be possible, I do not dispute peoples claims of sub-50 speed it's the clowns who claim 55-58 mph No F*&%ing way on a stock 325 trailboss. Keep dreaming! It is a nice quad! It is not a fast QUAD! A stock warrior is only good to 55 or so. A stock warrior humiliates the trailboss it is not even a race! I append to my original statement the only way a stock trailboss does over 50 is in the back of a truck or going off a cliff!

I had a 02 325 Mag and my top speed was 45mph and there was nothing left to go faster. So even if the 330 has 10% more hp, it's not going to make that much of a difference. Lets say the 325 had 15hp, that would mean the 330 would only have 1.5 more hp, or 16.5. Not much of a difference. So I would say the top speed on the 330Mag might be 47mph and the Trailboss slightly more because it's lighter. My sp 500 non HO top speed was only 55mph.

And comparing a TBoss to a Warrior is comparing a Utility to a Sport quad. Would you compare a Recon to a Blaster or a Rubicon to a DS650? no you should not. By no means is a Trailboss a sport quad, it is a 325cc, 2wd utility quad that weighs 500lbs.

My 02 Tb will run right along side a Big Bear, which tops out at about 50. I have dragged a SP 400 , and I burned him on takeoff, but he came back and beat me, but not by much. Keep in mind, all of this was when my TB was stock. Since then I have added Aaen muffler, K&N filter, Aaen green primary clutch spring, and went up 2 sizes on the main jet. I havent really had a chance to get it out much since I put the mods on, but from what I can tell just playing around in the yard, it has quite a bit more power. The 13.1 horse is probably about right stock because I think a stock Warrior has 18 HP, and a Warrior is plenty more powerful then a TB. Don't get me wrong, I really like my TB. It was my first quad and I think I got the best quad for the money, except for maybe the Trailblazer. The only reason I didn't buy the Trailblazer is bacause I thought the 250 was to small for me.(230lbs)

I was not comparing it other than to dispute the claimed stock 55MPH trailboss, Obviously yours is not stock and I cannot speak how your modified Trail Boss goes. I just did not want an unsuspecting future buyer to hear all this 50 plus MPH stock trailboss crap and buy one thinking it was fast! Like I said I like the trail boss, when I go out for a cruise through the trails with my kids I actually prefer to ride that over my Raptor because it is very comfortable and has nice soft suspension for cruising the trails at a slower pace!
