My son has outgrown is yamaha 80 and has almost taken over my mag 425 4x4. We stopped by the dealership saturday and he liked the 250 trail blazer( 2 stroke). I took it for a spin around the dealers lot and was quite impressed with it.
Does anyone have any info on these machines.

I have a Trailblazer for my kids, and they love it. I had the same problem as you, My kids always wanted to ride my Scrambler 500(which I never let them) or my wife's tralboss so I got them the trailblazer about 6 weeks ago. It's very easy for them to handle even though it's a full size quad. you can put racks on it and a trailer hitch, but I would'nt expect you could do much work with it. It's setup pretty much like the Scrambler, just smaller engine and lighter. The nice thing is that there are alot of aftermarket performance upgrades available for the 2 stroke, so I will be able to boost performance when I feel they are ready. My son just turned 11 and is a whoping 90 lbs, and he is already jumping it. My daughter (13) just likes to putt around. Stock performance is pretty good, it will probably run around 45-50 top end and handles great on the trails.

I have a 97 Trailblazer.

I love mine. It never gives me any trouble. Other than my chain kept coming off(which really upset me at the time) but i found out my back sprocket has 3 bad teeth. Other than that, i've had no problems.

Stock the Trailblazer runs good. But if you son grows tired of the power it has. $325 will liven the machine up great deal! Just get a RCR kit, in lowend, midrange, and topend and it will feel like a whole new quad.

I have ITP Aluminum wheels, ITP holeshots, RCR low-end kit, red plastic, and a black scr Seat. did i mention it's for sale? 2,300!

I purchased 2 00' trailblazers late fall for my wife and son. They love them. The only problem I had was a broken chain. They are easy to ride and offer all of the comforts of a full size quad. Infact they are bigger (wider, longer) then the Hondas, Yamaha, Artic Cats so they feel more secure on them. There has been very few places they can not follow me on my 400 scrambler. I just get there faster.

The chain breaking was my fault. I went out on the bike knowing it was there was too much slack in it. It snapped after landing a BIG jump. No fault of the bike.
