The tank is easy to take off but after you do it you need to know how to properly prime the oil injection system or you can burn up the motor.Take the front nose(tank) cover off, and it would be easier to access the tank if the front clip was completly lose but no need to take the clip off.You just need to raise the clip up to get better room for tools.Undo the bolts, line, and pull the tank off.

So how do I properly prime the injector when I put it back on?

All of the tanks I have seen are riveted in place. No big deal, though. Drill them and put some back in or use a couple of small bolts. As far as priming it, pre-mix you some 32:1 or 40:1 ratio of gas/oil . Fill the oil tank with oil and after burning a gallon or so you should see that the level has dropped. You need to make sure the pump marks are properly aligned as well. I would install a new filter too. Bubba
