Default Grease Fittings?

I recently bought a 99 335 Sportsman and like it very much for trail riding and hunting. But I am wondering how to grease the front and rear wheel bearings. Are there zircs? (grease nipples) or do they have to be hand greased like a car and if they are like a car are there seals to replace every time? I find it hard to believe that Polaris would put sealed bearings in considering how much greasing is done every where else. I do not mind greasing and probably over grease everything except the prop shaft yoke, tend to go through a lot of water holes.

This forum is great and usually check it out every night.

Thanx in advance

I believe the 335 is the same setup as the 500 so here goes. The rear bearings are a double wide (not sure of the correct term) sealed bearing and require no greasing. Be prepared to replace them after a few years of service as they don't keep the mud out forever. At the front end the bearings are inside the front hub assembly. The inboard side is protected by a cup seal and the outside by the black cap with an O ring seal and 3 allen screws. No greasing is required because the hub is 1/3 filled with Polaris's front hub fluid.
Hope this answers your question.

Thanks for the info Traildog. I tried my buddies 500 ho and it worked real good. ALMOST wished I kicked out another 5000 for a 500.

These units are pretty heavy so I think a 335 would be a little under powered compared to the 500. Having never ridden one I am making assumptions but the lack of power and the smaller tires wouldn't cut it for me.

Traildog, you are right. I own a 00 SP335 and it weighs 670 lbs. That is the dry weight. It needs a bigger engine.
