Default ATTENTION: Predator has problems big time.

Well ive had my pred out 2 times so far and both times I have had engine problems. When coming to water crossings the engine will stall, will not start in the water, as soon as u get it out of the water it will start. Push it back in it will stall. The water is not deep. 3 inches below the top of the front tire. My dealer has been terriffic tring to locate the problem. So we took another unit from the floor and tested it to see if it did the same thing. Guess what it did. So its not just one unit they all are haveing the same problem. So we did some testing and looking around and found that the water only has to be less than front sprocket deep and they stall. So u guys better check into this problem. My dealer has done a great thing here with me. They found the problem they fixed it. All preds are set up the same way. They are immediatly addressing the issue my dealer that is. Just got a phone call and the bike is fixed. Again I must commend my dealer, the staff, and the mechanics for getting the job done end a special big thanks uncle. What a top notch crew I have for addressing my problems. For polaris' stand on this issue was to ride it in the parking lot.Really it was.The funny thing is polaris knows that this problem existed and they didnt adrress it before allowing them too build and ship. If the manufacturing department doesnt fix this problem no one will be racing these things in any harescrambles. Unless u live in the desert u better get urs fixed.

Sounds like something electrical. Did you find out from your dealer?

Beleive it or not has nothing to do with electrical.Polaris engineers new 100% that this problem existed and they said there was no fix for it. Well there is a fix and my dealers mechanic figured it out, not a engineer sitting behind a desk with his computer and pencil and his 4yr college degree figuered it out. His answer a engineer is there isnt a fix. Wrong answer. That just goes to show you who really knows these atvs, have you ever had to work on some thing that these silly a@# engineers design well they make it real easy dont they.Di I sound a little pis@ed off, you bet ya. Ive been a diehard polaris fan for yrs. Ive spent over 30,000 dollars in 13 months on polaris products. And this is truely the frist time ive ever been this upset. But I must say it again hip hip hurray for my guys at the dealership.

Let me guess! Let me guess!!
The carb vent hose would get submersed in the water and would essentually shut the gas off to the carb.
The fix, either shorten the hose or re-route it.

I could be wrong here, this was my first impression.

Is there really a problem or is this a honda person bashing polaris again.

I would think that a real owner that found a problem and a cure would be more
than happy to share it with his fellow pred owners.
