sp600 & 700 front hubs
#1
I was wondering if anyone could tell me the difference between the front hubs on the sp600 and 700's.
does the 600 have fluidless front hubs?
just wondering, because next summer i think i'll get a sonic blue sp600.

The 600/700 series do not have hubs like the other 4wd Polaris models. A similar mechanism located in the front differential is what they use now. The system is not fluidless. You must now use hub fluid (atf)in the front diff. I believe it is a big improvement over the outboard hub style. On my previous 4 polarises they would, on occassion, lockup a front wheel. I would have to put it in reverse and then back to forward to unlock it. My Sp 600 has never done this. One of my buddies managed to hit a rock with his 500 and it broke the hub cover (lost all fluid) this cannot happen since there are no hubs. Without the hubs there are 2 fewer places for fluid leaks to occur. As for salesman, most of them have little knowledge of how the machines work but they do know what they cost.

Thanks for the replies! So the fluid in the diff acts as a lubricant to?
I think i'll trade in my Kodiak (save some of the taxes) and get a sonic blue sp600. My brother thinks he'll trade in his 450 on a sp500 HO. Hopefully if we buy 2 at once we'll get a better buy.
a sp700 is 9200, so a sp600 would be around 8500, or mabey a little less
