Looking back at my first brief reply, it could have been taken as smart @$$
I just meant any owner of a new ride SHOULD break it in according to factory and/or dealer recommended procedure. My book says 10 hours OR 2 full tanks of gas. My dealer said 50 miles. So I went by the dealer's word, as he's the one I'd go fuss at/with IF I have any problems. Did the first oil & filter change at exactly 50 miles which in my case came out to 14.1 hours. Recommendations are different on Preds and Sps. For your own protection and peace of mind, follow their guidelines and DOCUMENT all service during the life of the warranty.
Polaris break-in isn't bad Breaking-in a new Harley the way they say is a REAL test of patience
