replaced hub oil 3 times very dirty. still have problem .unplugged wires from hubs 4x still works???looks like i'll have to dig deeper no easy fixes i guess...

 

If you take it apart, clean it up good, and it STILL tries kicking into 4wd, try replacing the armature plate. For a 99 cent part, it sure can drive a guy batty trying to fix a hub. Someone told me that sometimes, after using the 4wd enough, the plate can retain some magnetism, and that can engage the hub even with the magnets off. Check to be sure everything is clean, and the bearings are good first, though.
