how smooth is the scrambler 500??
My brother has one and i think it's awesome. We went riding this summer and i did not want to give it back to him.You can do donuts at will and when you finish you pull up on the handlebars and it will wheelie away..Very fun!!!!!.After the ride i started looking for a second hand one to trade for my explorer.
About a week later i had taken off the sprokets and chain on my bike to get ready for a ride with a bunch of friends when i noticed that they had not sent me the right rear sproket,so i ended up borrowing his bike. There had been a heavy rain fall so the trails were very wet and when i got home i was covered in mud.Once and a while is OK but on every ride ????.I don't think so.The other reason i decided to keep my bike is that i love hunting and the scram is not built to pull out a 1000 pound moose to the road.
He just put some bearclaws on the scram the same size as stock and it looks wicked. The traction is amazing ,he was going everywhere in a foot of snow in 2 wheel drive. The ride does not seem to have changed much (4 ply).If you have any more questions it will be my pleasure to try to help you.

I've read posts where it was said not to put EBS on a Scrambler because it has no low gear. You can get by without it. I ride alot in the mountains, I just feathered my throttle a little to keep the engine engaged. This keeps it from free wheeling. You'll get the hang of it, I did, and I ride some very steep hills.
