Spoke to one of the guys who had this problem and the culprit is the filter that may freeze up when all the atmospheric conditions are just right. The incision was made in the hose (#20) just before the filter (#17). If there is a freeze up, the pressure will be allowed to escape from the incision.

I am a new owner Sp600. This discussion of engine crankcase overfilling with gas/oil mixture kind of scares me! If this is hapening, with two Sp700 catching fire, should this not be a " MAJOR SAFETY" call back by Polaris to address this issue!!!! ............MJSTX

Could someone give me a part's number on the hose that needs to be cut. Also if cut would water be able to go in at deep water crossing?

Have a couple of friends that have the 700, we ride often in 0 f or -15 d and no one has had this problem yet, but i will tell them about it anyway.

Thanks
