Blackwaters or Realters on Pred?
#1
Ok..narrowed it down between the two tires. I want somthing thats gonna be good in snow & light mud. I can use my reg tires during the summer months..these are for winter/spring. Im not going through real deep stuff...my cousin has realters..i know they work mint, but those blackwaters look good too! any opinions?

I had Blackwaters on my Banshee and they worked awsome in any condition. I really liked them. If i could afford them now I would get them without a doubt. Be different than your friend. Get the Blackwaters. What other tires were you considering? Realtors are more like a sand tire.Mudsharks are like blackwaters, and you have gators, jackals, rampage, bearclaws, swamp pro, spider trac and 589,s are all good tires. The blackwater and realtor tires are going to be more expensive. Depending on what kind of riding you do any of these tires work real well in loose dirt, mud and climbing.

realtors do work like a paddle in snow my friends blaster has them and so i do and they rock i also had mudsharks and they work good to but they dont have that much floatation.. i think you would be happy with either tire get the realators if u plan on doing a lot of snowriding and or sand they wrok good in sand also.. but get the mudsharks instead of blackwaters if u decide to go that path they will save u some money

I have heard form a few people that if you get realtors mount them backwards for the snow it gives more flotation instead of digging .
I am not sure if there is any truth to this but theoritically(not to sure I spelled it right) I can see it working

2000IAWarrior,
How well do you think the realtors would take to studding? Looks like a great tread pattern for it. I have a buddy who was considering them for a set of snow tires on his raptor and would like to know that before bought a set. Thanks.

Yes the mudsharks are like Blackwaters maybe even a little more meat for almost half of the price. The onlt thing about Realtors is if you ride on the road they will vibrate the helmet off of you.

for me they take great to studding for ice riding cuz i have a pond and ride on it but i ride in snow and to tell you the truth the studs help out alot in snow also but if you dont do a lot of ice ridding with snow i wouldnt stud them only if u will ride on snow/ice... if you turn them backwards they offer great floatation i have gone in up to a foot of snow with my warrior with them on i just turn my front tires backwards also... ne more info on the realtors or mudsharks just send me a PM
