I have been reading post on this forum for some time now and have decided to break the silence and join. I have a 1995 Sportsman 400 (2 stroke), bought it new and have had very few problems. Ofcourse I only have 1300 miles on it and have not abused it. The problems that have occured I have repaired myself through comments on this forum, replacing front breaks, adjusting back breaks, replacing sending unit for the fan, replacing belt and seal. I have changed the transmission fluid once along with the counter balance oil and fluib in the hubs. On average I have greased it and cleaned and oiled the chains twice per year. From time to time I think of trading for a new model, but the one I have is still preforming and runs faster that I need. The only thing I think I would like to have would be EBS. We ride in th Nantahala National Forest (probably mispelled) in North Carolina twice a year.

1995400,
If all you'd really like to have is the EBS, you can buy an EBS(2-stroke)clutch kit from Polaris. It is different than the 4-strokes. The part number for the 2-stroke EBS is #2200952. It has a retail price of about $400. That is actually a real good price for getting both clutches. Not to mention you'd have back-up set of clutches.

P.S. Welcome aboard!
