Predator's parking brake not working correctly
#1
I have noticed that if I lock up the front parking brake on my Predator that after 2 minutes it no longer will hold it from rolling? It works fine for the first second but then gets weaker and weaker until after about 2 minutes you can roll it like it isn't even on at all.
Has anyone else had this problem?
If you don't know for sure can you try it and please reply back.

NOt really sure on mine, but i did notice that in the manual it says not to use the parking break for more then 5 minutes as it will cause it to stretch or somthing like that..basically they said ti could fail after 5min...im still not sure then why tehy give you one!

Guess I'll just have to make sure I don't leave it on any hills idling in neutral while I go for a leak without kicking something under the wheels just like my Honda.

Well you may or maynot have a problem, squeeze the lever and hold it for the 2 minutes, if the lever sinks to the bars then I would say the internal leakage is excessive and you may need a master cylinder otherwise I pump the lever a few times then set the parking brake while pulling the lever very firmly. If the engine isn't running click it into 1st gear, that will lock the rear tires.

It leaks off no matter what you do after a few minutes. The front brakes work fine just the front parking brake only works for a very small limited amount of time.
I always leave it in gear when it's not running on a slope or whatever, but that's not really my point.
I haven't seen a parking brake yet work after you take it off the showroom floor. I do however like this type of parking brake much better than anything else out there (atleast it works for a few minutes) trying to lock the rear wheels. It's much cleaner and I don't need to get a block off plate.

Like I mentioned previous it's probably normal unless the lever fades holding it with your hand for a couple minutes. My Scrambler works the same and the parking brake feature will fade, I've never timed it but it's hold time is limited.
