I when to the Polaris site and down loaded the manual for a Sportsman and was suprised how large and detailed it is.My friend paid $40 and had to wait for a month for a manual like thatI for his Massey garden tractor.I printed all 80 something pages and was glad I did not run out of ink first on my printer. When I ever need a part I just give the parts guy the parts number instead of calling it a "The little round thingy"and the the manual show you how it goes on and in what order so you do not have left over parts after the job is done.My friend whats one for his Yamaha does any other manifacturer offers these Manuals for free?

Was that on the Polaris web site? What was the address? I just paid $25 for a manual for my '93
but it doesn't cover my '98.

Go to "http://www.polarisindustries.com/product/atv/tips/default.asp=manuals" than click on your model of bike,it takes a few minutes to download.I wish I knew how to make it a clickable address but I do not know how but it's sure worth typing in to check it out.

I got my Scrambler manual, they should do older models. I bet other brands don't do this for their machines. Can't make clickable links in the forums but it worked in my E-mail notification.

Only the parts manuals are on line correct? If the Service manuals are there, where do I find them?

I have not been able to locate Service Manuals on line so far, so I bought one ($47). It is an excellent manual. Well illustrated. It covers the Sportsman from 96 to 00.
