The current rating on the switch should be pleanty for the 3 light bulbs. I have been running my sp700 that way for 700 miles without problem. I also had my sp500 wired that way (with the diode).

 

I was going to do this mod, until I realized that I hate the high beam headlight. The way it lights up my front rack extenders, especially if I have anything on my front rack, is too distracting for me. Little things like that bug me. Anytime I really need it at night I use it, but I mostly stick with my low beams. I'm thinking about replacing my low beams with a pair of automotive driving lights, any thoughts on this? Anybody done this? I think that might be just what I need.

 

I would like to thank you guys for replying to this thread. I appreciate all of your responses. Some people say we are still beatin' that dead horse but I think that you will never get enough info. Everyone has there way of doing things and I respect that. As long as there way works why do others tryto rag it. Thanks again to all that replied. I will try the mod this weekend. I will be using all of your responses. Having too much info is not a bad thing. Thanks again. It is nice to have a website about atvs and having folks take time out of their busy lives to respond to others questions. They could just read your reply and keep going and not taking time out to reply but they do.
