I don't have my quads insured. Our household policy covers them here because they are not licensable vehicles. They are considered our personal property.

I'm in Ohio. I asumed that my home owners insurance would cover my atv also. I called my agent to make sure. He told me that my home owners insurance would not cover my atv. I got full coverage with a $100 deductible from State Farms for $149 a year on my 2003 Polaris Trailblazer 250. I haven't put insurance on my 2003 TB 400 yet.

I did recently have to double check all the insurance stuff. I had a garage fire on 1/2/02. Lost the whole garage and contents. Fortunatly, my quads I had at the time were at my dad's house. We had rode the weekend before. I did have a street bike in the garage. It was an older bike that I was in the process of restoring. I didn't have insurance on it yet because it wasn't done at the time. I found out the hard way that because it was a street licensable vehicle it was not covered on my personal property insurance. That is what brought up the question with my agent of what would happen had the atv's been there. I was told that they would be covered even though they had a title. They were not street licensable which would require it's own coverage. This would only cover loss in a fire, theft, etc. I don't have coverage for accident or property damage caused by my atv.

n.j. atv registration is $10.00 a year and you have to have ins. to register it.

I dont think too many ins. companies cover atvs. I have state farm for everything from house to atvs. my sportsman 700 is 156.00 a year full coverage with 200 deductible.
