Default Tiny Tach??

Anybody use the Tiny Tach? How easy was it to install? How well does it respond and work? Seems worth while for $35. Any opinions or suggestion welcomed. Thanks

Default Tiny Tach??

I bought one with my wifes 325 mag just to keep track of service intervals. As far as hookup goes,2 wires. One wire goes to a frame ground and the other snaps over the spark plug wire.Very easy.I use mine for service intervals and idle speed adjustment.Ive got it mounted below the front cowl so I cant say as to how fast it responds to varying rpms.Ive heard since they are digital that they were a little behind the actual rpms. But for what I use it for,its the best money Ive spent to insure my quad gets its routine oil changes.

I have one on my Predator, very easy to install I have a pic with it installed also, great for service intervals and idle rpm as far as working while riding it does turn up slow cause it's digital you have to mount it directly infront of you to read it while riding and it really only works well for crusing speeds. Well worth it I think.

I have the Polaris Tach installed on my Predator, basically the same thing. Works very well, if you wanna check the idle or to see if you are hitting top RPM and have a long enough run. Plus the hour meter is fantastic to keep track of maintance.

Personally, I don't like digital tachs. They don't respond fast enough.

I bought my first tiny tach and it had problems so I sent it back to them. They finally sent me a new one, and when I went to install it 2 weeks later, the battery was dead. I never put it on and it is sitting in my tool box.

I have had several, they are easy to install and work good for some things. If your just using it on occasion, it'll be ok, but they jump around alot and are hard to see, being so small. I finally just bought a digatron playback tach, which works well.

It' a digital tach that records your RPM's and times for a run, if racing, then you can go back and look at the rpm's and make changes to your clutches based on the RPM's you ran. It also has a becon feature where it will records times. It's about $450.00,

I haven't heard of the TinyTach, could you possibly tell me who makes it , I have looked at various models but just want a simple unit, no fiddling around and not too costly.
