Default Speedo quit today need help

Riding the SP400 today and noticed that the odometer hadn't changed since the last time I rode. Took off and realized the speedo quit too. The ? I have is, would the odometer still be on if it was just a fuse blown. Thats what the dealer thinks but he couldn't tell me where the fuse even was sooo. I'm at a stand still. Please help!

Default Speedo quit today need help

Hello
I had a similar problem on my 2000 Sp500. There is a sensor located on the front axle, that reads off the disk brake. Try taking it off, it simply unscrews, mine was full of dirt/debri. I was up in Hurley WI, the sand up there has a lot of iron in it. Anyways it was bad, cost was about $130, with labor. The speedometer is basically a sealed computer chip, not much that can go wrong with it, according to my dealer.
Hope this helps.

Its about a $50 dollar part and easy to change. Look here #37 halifax sensor (speed sensor) its 1 bolt that holds it on and then you take apart your head light pod and just unplug it from the speedometer and fish it down through the wire bundle.
