My 97 stock would do 55.

Grease everything greaseable about once a month, Keep chain oiled and tightened, check tranny oil, change tranny oil once a summer and that's about it.

A stock 2000 Trail Blazer will do about 46-47 MPH.

Where did you get your speed from?

I clocked mine with a Street and trail bike.

Are the new ones slower? I was reading in Dirtwheels. The low price shootout.

They said the trailblazer edged out the Blaster in a drag race and we know the Blaster does about 52 or 53.

And i have raced a few stock and piped blasters and beat them!

I'm hoping to radar mine soon to find out for sure, but I think lurch is right. I think everybody just exaggerates their speed a bit. My brother in laws sp500 does about 55 and he can blow by me. By the way I have a 00 Blazer.

For checking the speed on your ATV, you might try using a Gobal Positioning Unit (GPS) if you have one or can borrow one from a friend. It will give you a fairly accurate reading (+ or - a mile or two) if you have a straight run that will allow the GPS to settle in after you accelerate. A GPS might be more available for checking top speed several times or under different conditions and taking an average. Getting it checked on radar (intentionally) might be more difficult unless you have a close police friend.
