Default Possible Pred Problem??

Well i just got a call from the dealer. I droped it off yesterday for the first service ( i already did my own first hour oil chang) 25hrs and they called to say my bike was ready. I had one major concern, one of the tie-rods, you could spin it around completely. TUrns out the bolt on the bottom was stripped, so they replaced that. Oil looked good..everything else looked good on the bike.

But they found one problem. He said the side tank on the radiator has a SMALL leak. He said he noticed a drip or two, nothing to be worried about, I just have to watch it..but hes going to order me in a new tank. should be in next week. Im not sure if he meant the overflow bottle or the actual rad leaking, but i'll get him to show me when i go pick it up. No reason it should be leaking, never hit it or anything to my knowledge..

So anyways..just a heads up..check your rads!

Default Possible Pred Problem??

I thought I had the exact same problem, but upon further detailed inspection, it turned out to be a leak where the temperature sensor screws into the radiator. $50 says this is your problem. The only time this happens to me, is when I am out riding when it is cold (below freezing) and then when you are done riding and put the machine away, the next day there will be a drip of coolant exactly where you describe (bottom left side of radiator tank), if you don't wipe anything off and look close, you should be able to trace it back up to the temperature sensor. The temp sensor is copper/brass, and the radiator is aluminum. The aluminum expands when heated (riding) and contracts when cooling down (in cold garage), however, the brass/copper temperature sensor does not expand and contract AS FAST as the aluminum, thus, a couple of drops of coolant! Hope this helps. Let me know if this is not the case, however, I still would bet that it is.

Mine did the same thing,.. but chased it to the Radiator hose... Look at all the obvious stuff first.
