No warrenty this time, I guess I'll tear into it myself monday and get my parts ordered ASAP.

have your dealer call polaris. eventhough it is out of warranty polaris has been really good at covering things like the tranny and the head. it is worth the shot. i heard that polaris has made the 04 gears better, with the oil relief holes and also did something to improve the shifting forks. try, whats the worst thing they can say no, but they are trying to stand behind their product so hopefully it works out for you

 

And racing we were, it was a blast anyone's race until he lost 4th gear. Major bummer, I imagine Bobby will modify something in that trans. while he has it apart to make it shift right. Hopefully he can get it going for the drags this weekend!! Good luck

 

jcal - i will see what polaris says since its a repeat problem, might be worth a shot, like you say worst thing they can say is no.

i heard that they are being really good to try and stand behind their machine. it is a known problem. hopefully they put the new 04 gears in good luck

 

What did they change in the 04 trannys??

 

. bobby i still have had no problems with mine race it ever weekend. bobby was you at sand fest. i heard it was shoulder to shoulder.
