Sportsman suspension: Best mods for the smoothest ride
#11
Rear Stabilizer....Basically this allows the body of the quad to travel on the suspension more. It wont flip more as long as you balance the wait more with ur body. But if you dont...you will flip. Scramblerized was right.

It depends on how hard you are riding the machine.
I took my bar out of my 2001 500 HO, and love it now.....however I just tiwwired the upper bar as if I wanted it in for hunting,it would not be a big deal to re-install.....I just keep the towers in the compartment under the seat.
It does roll side to side easier, but as stated....you can control that with body english....Now just wish there was a easier way to adjust the rear shocks without removing the rear tires...

Removing the bar can not make the machine roll over any more the machine is still bolted to the shocks with are still attached to the tires. Weight transfer from side to side on the corners is still the same, the stabilizer just applys more spring rate to the side that is trying to lean to keep the body more level in relation to the tires not the ground. You will get the sensation of the machine rolling more on the springs but it's only a sensation.
