What Gas to run in the 700's and the Grizz 660
The 700 is recommended to use regular however I believe the 660 Yam powerplant is supposed to use Super.

For some of you, this is going to be an eye opener.
What type of gasoline should I use in my ATV you ask? The answer is easy. The one recommended in your owners’ manual.(most of the time it’s regular blend)
There is a very common misconception that using high Octane gasoline or premium blend if you prefer, will increase the power and also clean your engine better. It’s more expensive. It says super/premium it has to be better.
This is total hogwash. Octane is an additive that slows down the rate of combustion (slower burning) It is required in high compression engines to reduce pinging/knocking that will have ill effects on your engine. Using premium in your regular recommended ATV will not improve performance, it will reduce it. PERIOD. All three blends of gasoline have the same detergents for proper engine cleaning, again, no reason to use premium.
If you try premium grade and your ATV does get better performance, something is wrong and you need a tune-up. Since a higher octane rating changes the combustion characteristics, the timing is most likely off.
Many years back when premium gasoline was introduced. The oil companies advertised it as more power. Both the US & CDN governments made them change their advertising because it was false.
Octane is sometimes reffered to as: R+M/2
If you want to continue using Premium Blend after reading this, that’s ok, it’s your money, not mine.
