Default EBS REMOVAL

I looking to purchase a used 500HO Sportsman. The fellow selling said that he removed the EBS because when going through deep mud that if you back off the gas, you'll get stuck.

Does removal of the EBS sound resonable or is it just broke? He wants $4200 for a '99 with new 26" mud tires, very clean.

Default EBS REMOVAL

two things....

I had a 500HO .......... and never felt that the EBS caused a problem in the mud ???
I do know it was appricated on the trails ..... I would want mine to work ......
What did he say that he did to disable it ?? sounds broke to me.

Also .... I noted that you said it was 1999 ... and was a 500HO ???? I am not sure
that is possible ???? It was my belief that the high output ( HO ) models were not
produced before the 2001 model year ????
There were a number of changes on the HO model compared to the previous 500 units....
( 20% more power, better belt cover, stainless steel brake hoses, etc )

It does not sound like it is what it is represented to be ?????????

PS ... check out the Kelly Blue Book on line ..... looks like a 1999 500 has
a trade in value of $3100
