Yes we tested every clutch & clutch kit out there and the stock one work the best! The proof is in result's, to many GNCC NATIONAL win's to count and the championship title against all those clutch, piped, ect. two stroke's that my so called peer's built. Every big bore HI-TORQUE four stroke automatic I have built (which you have seen in the mag's) have responded in the same way.SUZ 580 VINSON/ GRIZZLY 686/600 POL SPORTSMAN/628 POL SCRAMBLER/800 KAW PRAIRIE/500 KAW PRAIRIE and last but not least the 785 V-FORCE. Yes I can get on here and speak my mind also the only differece is most of the people will agree with me!

just hope your's or "one laps" machines don't go boom. Don't wish that on anyone.....well almost.
Pro X, that's the quote Mickey is taking exception too. And just by fate, I went out and purchased a new atv magazine last night and there was a big article on the Four Stroke Tech 530 Predator. The plastic kit was awesome. A nice high compresion engine and elka shock setup. Looked to be one sweet ride.
No, I am not Gary, but yes he is one of the top engine builders, just as Mickey is. I have seen several article's in different magazine's about Superbike engine's. I have seen several about FST and there different projects, but Ken I seem to be over looking yours, oh, I forgot your a self proclaimed expert. It's also funny to me 3 professional engine builder's would make a comment about another without even knowing how long they have had access to the Predator engine. How did White Bros have a pipe ready before the Predator was even available, some shops had access before other's.

lil sp, my original machine was in the Dec 2001 issue of ATV Sport...my current Predator is in the upcoming issue.....and I am a tech writer....read, watch, listen, you'll learn. The 530 plastic is ugly, waste of time, that's my opinion. I even donated a set of my cooling scoops to that rider because she seems to be having some overheating problems. I don't know if that was before or after the mods, so I can't elaborate on that. How's that for putting my money where my mouth is. In the last couple of weeks, I've improved two other shops mods w/o even seeing the machines. You do remember the rivet/riv-nut idea?

Mickey, I know you have notches on your belt, don't come on here tossing around high school slander if you can't take some criticism. Other than full clutch kits, pop on a tachometer to the machines, and document the runs. Along with some new equipment coming out, there is a ton of gear out there presently that would be able to unlock even more HP.

You keep stating about your clutch kits that are going to make my engines run correctly or make more horsepower. I don't believe you have any experience with my big bore stroker motors but yet you say you know how to make them run better. I build a machine that has instant throttle response, pulls quick and hard through the rpm range with more power everywhere so there is nothing else left to do. My cams are designed to work with the torque which makes the clutch work better. I think I have more experience in this than anyone else and besides that, it's my motor - not yours. As far as name calling, that's why I am on here in the first place schoolboy. You originally said stuff that you have no idea about personally. You get on here and want to argue with everybody but you have nothing to say. You don't get the principle of strike three - you are out of the game because you didn't have the skill to play good enough - go back to the dugout and stay there. If you do have something to say about my products or me I told you to call me. That way we can get everything straight man to man. Can you understand that? So far anyone I have challenged on these forums to do so has failed to be a man (or a woman in one case).

Mickey, first off, I'm 39. I hate baseball, hockey is the best. Gotta be able to take the pain, and think quick. I'm not criticizing your setup, just suggesting that there might be some high end clutch tuners that would be able to help you tweak some additional hp out. Are you familiar with the TEAM industries new roller clutch? Especially where there's the increased torque of the mod 4-strokes, it would benenfit your setup. I would fly out personally if there weren't a race and another major ATV event a week away.

Talk is cheap, you keep going on and on and not saying anything. Just apologize for calling my engines "one lap Dunlap motors" and that they blow up since you have no knowledge of this. You made an incorrect statement; you know nothing about me or my motors so either back it up or apologize. Be a man about it. Do it right here if you can't call. Give me your phone number and I will call you - just ask 14mins - I called him. He was man enough to apologize and now a year later he has even stated that I was right.

Modquad, ok let's see here, so your bike has only appeared in the mag you work for. I am impressed. as far as you improving anything, that's a joke, if you will go back and re-read that thread I brought up the rivits before you even had a post on the thread. seems to me the only person you impress with your tech ability is your self.

Mickey, I'm not looking to apologize to anyone. I'm trying to be constructive, and evidently, you don't want to accept that. Have you ever tried Exhaust Gas Technologies Avenger 1 recording tach? If not, it's an incredible clutch tuning/ analyzing tool. Once you've used it, you won't be without it. It allows you to analyze the entire run.

lil sp, I didn't work for the magazine when that was published. Look inside the front cover under credits....or didn't you think to do that. Once again blowing smoke.

Oh, lil sp, before I forget, when using those pop-rivets in the intake, don't forget to secure, or remove the rivet mandrel. If you don't, that could be ingested into the motor over a period of time...vibration will work it loose. But then again, you probably already had someone do that for you.
