Default Warn 2500 Winch

I bought a brand new 2500 lb. Warn winch off of E Bay last weekend for $230. I got it yesterday. I was somewhat dissapointed though, I thought that all the 2500's came with the remote pistol grip, but this one came with the big dial switch instead. Not a huge deal, but still. I also thought that the 2500 had a solanoid. I'm not positive about this, but I thought it did, but this winch didn't come with one. It's brand new, in the box. If I can get any clairification about any of this, it would be appreciated. Hopefully I didn't get hosed. Thanks.

The Warn 2500 lb winch is supposed to have a pistol grip control module.
The 2000 lb winch had a large rotary switch. The winch itself is the same but the controls are different and that is what makes the winch a 2500lb winch.

Both the 2000 lb model and 2500 lb models have be discontinued by warn and replace with the 2.5ci and 3.0ci models. You can go to warns web site for complete information on these winches and upgrades for them and a dealer locator where you can get your upgrades

I called the dealer, he said the A2500 Warn came with the pistol grip. I have the U2500, which doesn't have the pistol grip. I can get a handlebar mounted rocker switch for it, but the pistol grip has been discontinued. Kinda sucks, but I'll live with it.
