Default Pure Polaris gear thrashing

After 6 hours of mud and woodsblasting on Sat, I followed that up with a two hour harescramble on Sunday. All the Pure Polaris gear that installed soooo easily, is still all present and acounted for. Through trees, brush, and other "obtacles" the stuff holds up great. Even some of those nasty thuds, where you think " that's gonna leave a mark", but only some scratches. Top notch gear, for a top notch quad. This steering was made for harescrambles.

Yes, but as modquad knows, the plastic throttle and steering stem wasn't, as I rolled mine shortly after the start and bent and crippled the steering stem in 3 places.... So how do you get home with a busted throttle???? Take a stick, break the top of the throttle box, and run the cable with your finger. 2nd race is a charm right???....or is that 3rd? Well at least the stem is easy to replace and you didn't damage the throttle cable. Don't damage the top or O-ring on the Throttle assembly because you have to order each separately!

Hope no one was hurt!

Yeah, the thumb piece screws out seperately, but for some retarded reason, you can only buy the throttle housing unit, which is $60....if that aint a kick in the goonies. I lost the oring, and pretty much did in the lid, like I said, I was in a bad mood and just wanted to get back to the truck after my pride just had it's @$$ kicked!! The cable is fine though. I think a Rath steering stem and some pro-taper bars are now on the parts list, so if I roll again, the only thing that could break is the bolts for the bar clamp, and although frustrating, it's a much cheaper fix than a steering stem!!

Did Modquad and I mention how much we like the Trail Tech setup with the High bend x-bars? Check with Modquad to see if HPD finished their aftermarket stem yet. Hope you didn't damage those nice looking handguards.

Throttle control assembly 2010204 $59.99
O-ring 5411439 $0.85
Cover 5434113 $6.99

Stem 1821210-385 $79.99

These were marked prices and you should be able to talk your dealer into a lower price especially the stem. You might be able to get one for around $60.

Thanks TLD,
Yeah, I've been PMing modquad, and apparently HPD's lazer cutter is still on the fritz, so It'll be a few weeks before we see stems. Yes, I could get a stock stem cheaply, but I was only going about 15mph when it went over, and it was a slowmotion roll, and it absolutely crippled the stem. It's bent and twisted in 3 places. I have only seen damage like that when the quad has done multiple barrel rolls!! That's why I'm thinkig I should get a chromolly, even though it is extremely more expensive than I would like to afford right now....maybe I could replace it with stock and just ride a little more carefully. I honestly think the incident happened because I had the rebound set to fast. I was trying to hop a log in the race, and I think when the back end hit, it just plain shot me @$$ first into the air and over I went. I will readjust and fine tune!! I saw modquad's x-bars, and I do like them. I'm also considering them highly also. They are acuatlly cheaper than the pro-taper's in Rocky mt. And as to report on the handguards, they handled the roll perfectly. No busted flags!! They were moved around, but because they have the ability to move and flex under extreme pressure unlike bar insert handguards, I just had to bend them out of my way again to drive. Go powermadd!!

Just gotta watch out for the toe-pick. Old time hockey humor. I still feel bad I don't remember seeing you, was too busy giving someone the message to move. There was some heavy duty carnage.
