The HMF with no quiet core has got to be 98db+. It's real deep though. Not raspy or edgy like a FMF or the like. I want to try their new quiet core. They claim 91db with 95% of the power.

My HMF puts out big lowend torque, right where the DS needs it. The midrange is good. The top end wasn't real noticable on a DS. That is OK though the top end stock on a DS is tough to beat.

In my opinion the best bang for the buck in the slip-on pipe market....

Modquad. The HMF helps even at just 50% throttle. Even cruising it's pumped up.

Modquad I dont have anything to measure the noise output. I will check around at a couple of local dealers and see if they can help me out. If I can get the number at idle, and half throttle I will let you know what they are.

One other thought, you could call Gary after all he has done a dyno shootout of all these pipes for the predator so I am sure he has the readings. I just couldnt help myself.

 

Radio Shack has a $39 and $49 db meters. I have the digital, they both work great. I won't be changing from the W/B, too happy with it, but just curious.

 

99blueballs, You are only hurting your self by making jokes about someone who is testing all these products at there expense to save us money. Why do you keep running over to the Superbike forum reading his post. Your always making fun of them, but your there trying to get information. And yes I know what most all the slip on's make on the dyno. I also know why all the head pipes failed. I know which company's were honest and pulled there head pipes from the line up and which ones are going to sell them anyway. I know why sticking air vents in the airbox don't work, and all the other crap I see posted on here. There are so many people wasting there money and time on so called tips. But since you guys know everything, I won't worry with trying to help you save money and make your Predator as fast as it could be. good luck

 

What's wrong with suggesting that someone call Gary for info when he has tested the pipe? Actually I never even said anything bad ever about Gary until I gave my HMF review, some people were asking me questions and the first words out of one of you pak guys was " you should call Gary he has done research on everypipe out there". Well guess what I dont need to call gary to ask him if I like my pipe because I do and that is what matters. That is when I tried to play nice but you guys kept pushing so I posted my feeling then you call me a liar because of what I know. Its o.k. thou because everyone sees it. Look at what he did to Rob but oh he is so caring. Whatever. Have a good day. I am just glad I didnt let them talk me into buy a new chain for my 39 tooth rear because the stock on fits just fine.

You keep saying you know all this stuff so why dont you share the info like the rest of us. Or is it secret like the main jet sizes. Or you dont know quite as much as you lead on and dont want to get proved wrong. All you say is everyone is posted wrong info and you and Gary know the correct but you always fail to prove it.
