Has anyone used the speedometer/computer from Rocky Mountain atv on a 03 scrambler. They list one for the predator but not the scrambler. Can it be made to work and is it worth the money?
Are there any other aftermarked speedos for these things other than the dealer option from polaris?
I have looked thru all the atv parts suppliers that i can find and am unable to find any.

I run the Trailtech computer I bought from RMATV . I love it, you can check it out in my pictures. If you have any questions, ask.

 

I picked up a Garmin eTrex Venture GPS and a handlebar mount for it at a local sporting goods store. i figured for an extra 100 bucks over the trailtech i get good speedo and it installs in minutes, plus it has a butt load of extra features. I have done wheelies, and gone through mud, and the GPS stands sturdy.

Hey, NC. which model did you buy your trailtech for. They do not currently list a scrambler. Will the predator model work on the scrambler 500?
I would like to get one but not sure if there are any technical problems installing one for a different model than specified.
I should be taking delivery of my machine by weeks end and i would like to put something on it to keep track of mileage before i start riding it.
this is my first venture into the polaris machines and by what i have read i doubt that i will be dissappointed. :0)

I too have the trailtech form Rocky MT. Very good and durable unit. They dont list a scrambler. This is the one that will work on the scrammy

Thanks Bigbad, much appreciated. I knew i could get better help from this forum than i did from the operator at Rocky Mountain. They couldn't tell me that the one for the 4x4's would work. they just said that they don't have one for the scramblers. Not very informed sales people.

Or pick up the cheap $100 model and a small length of velcro at Walmart and be cheaper than the speedo and still have most all the neat features you will ever actually use. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

 

Used to be able to see the pics of the Sport/Scrambler unit on their site. Easy install, and like the others said, works great. The GPS is also a great choice....actually use both.

 

Mine is the newest model for the Scrambler, I know Rocky Mountain has it, whether it is on the website or not, I don't know, but it is in the catalog.
